How do you Bless those who persecute you?

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

The best way I can answer this is by an example that

    occurred in my own life.

For about 7 years, (a long time), a landlord near where I lived

deliberately put 'impossible' groups of people next door to us

in his rental, which was a run down shack, should have been

condemned. He put in druggies, heavy metal groups, and those

ones brought more and more of the same to the house. They

didn't ever throw out their garbage so garbage was strewn round

the place near ours and this drew a huge plague of rodents

which then worked to get into my home.

Through much prayer, and various things done, I was able

to overcome 'evil with good'. I deliberately would never say

a bad word against this landlord. Well, the last huge group

left a few months ago and the landlord couldn't get anyone

who would go near the place to clean up the mess. He needed

a GAS mask to go into the shack. He tore it down. It's gone.

He asked me recently if I could help him with his medical

problems, and I said I would do that. I looked this up.

He openly said he wanted to buy my house (cheap, because

he's cheap) so he could build a huge place.

He doesn't realize how he is. I told him recently that he needs

more than just a lot of money, needs a reason for living,

    and he nodded and agreed.

Sometimes God has a plan with those things. Those people are

all watching us, seeing how we'll handle it all.

What a great ideal. Jesus said before the crucifixion, 'Lord forgive them, for they know not what they are doing'. But to be practical, you can always go home sit down and pray to Lord the same way as Lord has suggested. But at the time of experiencing any persecution in any form, the intelligent advice given by great men of thought is, hiss but don't spew any venom. This way the ppl who try to harm you would think twice before approaching you. But you need not hold that feeling of grudge forever. Because as it is the nature of snake to bite you, so it is the nature of some ppl to harm others. You should only be tactful in bypassing them. And as i said, go home and sincerely forgive them in ur heart.

    Regards.

Peace to all. Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Luke 6:28 . Have you ever been persecuted by anyone? How do we respond when someone is unkind to us, or hurts us, or curses us? How did Jesus respond?

The natural response would be to treat them the same way they treated us, but that is not how Jesus responded and that is not how we should respond either.

Paul said, Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Never pay back evil for evil to anyone.1 Paul said, when we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure; when we are slandered, we try to conciliate 2 Paul said, If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY, says the Lord. Jesus said, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. Just as you want people to treat you, treat them in the same way. Think of someone who has hurt you, or mistreated you, or cursed you. Pray for them now, in love.

I ask the Father in his great glory to give you the power to be strong inwardly through his Spirit. I pray that Christ will live in your hearts by faith and that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. Thanks for this post. God bless!

Well, since that's clearly BS- have you seen all the BS Christians say to homosexuals? You call that "Loving thy neighbour"? If anyone went around persecuting Christians, (which they don't), then we'll cross that bridge when we come to it

Hint: Grace (Bless), not Law (Bless + Curse)

Hint: Christ (Grace), not Jesus (f-lawed them)

Christ = peace (rest), not division (unrest): grace.

Jesus = division (unrest), not peace (rest): f-law.

So Jesus got "numbered with the transgressors",

but "approved unto God" has no such "shame",

for grace (Christ) doesn't play the blame game.

Point: sunny 1Son Christ isn't cloudy 2Sons Jesus:

    http://www.godshew.org/JesusVSChrist.html

    Hint: learn under/above isn't left/right on high,

    and Godly division is under/above: Gen 1:7;

And God has no partiality like Jesus did.

So don't Jesus (f-law) anyone, since

dig up dirt on others also dirts you.

So what Jesus did: cursed every one,

    (f-lawed = criminalized every one)

    is called "inexcusable" behaviour

Poor Christians, they aren't persecuted enough for their own martyrdom complexes, so they have to imagine up persecution.

"Blessing" and "cursing" has to do with speaking. You are to desire their good and speak in line with that.

When breaks his knuckles on your face, offer him a ride to the hospital to have them looked at on the way there get him a coke.
