My Craftsman Lawn Mower is not starting?
I have a Craftsman Model #917.273643 Riding Lawn Mower. It has an 18.5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine. When I turn the key it makes a buzzing noise. The engine does not turn over at all, and there is no clicking noise. The battery is fully charged and has a good connection. Could the starter be bad? If so, is it hard to change out? Thanks!

Check your owners manual under Trouble Shooting. If you can't find it then just call Sears Repair center and they will answer your question.
The starter or solinoid is not hard to change if you're handy and have the right tools.

it could be the starter or the solenoid. the solenoid costs less than the starter, but not all mowers have them. (mine doesnt Yardman with brigs n strat ) . i recently replaced my starter
