How To Stop Rabbit From Biting?

I have a mini rex rabbit. I am not new to them, my previous rex was 100% perfect, never bit, litter box trained with no effort, playful, smart etc.

Well, my new mini rex, actually 1/4 Norwegian Dwarf, a little over a year old, bites all the time.

I recently put my hand in the cage to pat him and he bit my finger so bad that it's still bleeding (an hour later). I can't have him run around me because he will ALWAYS nip everybody, even me. It hurts and I'm afraid of him so I can't even play with him because i have to stay away from him.

Any suggestions? I don't want to have to give up on him but compared to my old mini rex who was killed two years ago, my new one is a complete pest and nuisance.

Every time he nips you "yelp" or "squeal" in pain then walk away and ignore him for a little while. Eventually will come to realize when he bite he gets no attention. Do not hit him or throw things at him this in itself can make things worse. Good luck hopefully things get better :) have some patience and just give it a shot. Also give him plenty of things to chew like blocks of wood, rabbit toys ect.

Rabbiots the teeth consistently are growing and he or she needs some thing complicated to bite on to positioned on her the teeth down. provide her a tree branch or timber discovered on the puppy shop that is secure for you rabbit. That way, she gained't bit you as a lot. Secondly, you're scaring her. you could be very careful such as her, and the thanks to tame her precise. third, my hamster always bit me after I had nutrients scent on my hand. that's an particularly sturdy theory to bathe you hands before dealing such as your rabbit. sturdy success,

Give him to the shelter, if your scared of him you can't have him you have to be able to feed him and love him or he will get very lonely. He might be better in a new home. Try giving him other things to chew on. ( cardboard, sticks,)
