In COD MW3 why are people (geeks) so offended by "campers"?

I mean, in a real war the defenders would take cover to defend the objective from the enemy. They would not run around like twerps getting shot at because in the real world they would not respawn; they would spend eternity as a dead soldier. So in my universe (i.e. this one), once the objective is secured then "campers" are the real soldiers and those that rudely criticise them should be, erm, Shot!

Update:

Now you're not listening properly darlings. Of course you have to run around to start with - but in Domination (and I do like a bit of domination) once you've got the flag then I would say defend the bloody thing.

    Because people rage when you kill them and they can't kill you.

    Like how I camp with my sniper rifle and I like to hard scope. And trust me when I say I cannot hard scope at all, well I can but I always miss my first and even second shot.

    So when they complain I'll start to quick scope and damn I destroy everyone when I quick scope with my berret those 50 cal bullets do some major damage and I just think its so funny how they complain about me quick scoping now lmao

    It's not real world, it's a game. So there is no reason to cower in fear.

    Campers = Cowards.

    Learn the difference between defending a point of interest and camping.

    Basically if everyone camped no one would get kills. Another thing is in real war guns aren't automatic laser blasters.

    How fun would the game if both teams just camped at spawn?
