My Computer Screen????
Well, I was really pissed off and slammed my laptop screen down, and then when I went to turn it on later, Different spots of the screen for black and white, and coming down there is an array of Blue, purple, yellow, green, and pink colors.... My computer is still functional but It is very annoying. I do have an extended warranty at best buy, but would rather not take it to them if possible, just because it would take a month to get the computer back. Is there any way I could fix it myself? I have a Compaq Presario F700 if that helps...

Well from the look of things your screen is the broke. I'm telling you now its very difficult and expensive to replace a Laptop LCD monitor. What I recommend is for you to connect an external monitor to your laptop and use the external monitor for your screen.TO do this just connnect another monitor to the VGA port on the side of your laptop its usualy a blue header in it has 15 holes you wont miss it. Once you've done that when you turn your computer on press the fn key and f2 or f8 it depends on your laptop.

You cracked the screen. Maybe it didn't damage the hard drive.
I repaired one laptop where a 14 year old boy slammed the lid down and it destroyed the hard drive but didn't damage the screen.
Your only choice is to replace the screen and hope the hard drive is still okay. I replace a lot of laptop screens. I order mine from this web
site and they come back in 3 to 4 business days.
