How many months unemployed will employers see a person as not qualified?

Do employers see a person as not as valuable the longer they go without employment? How many months or years unemployed until a person is "damaged" goods?

Depends on the employer. It's a subjective decision, and not something written in stone.

Any employer could ask you about gaps on your resume.

They will always see you as unqualified. Employers do not want to hire you. They do not want to hire anyone. They resent the fact that they have to have employees at all. They think anyone who works for a living is a loser and out to scam them. You will never get a job. You will never get ahead. It is not possible.
