how to make 1 recipe for both dogs & cats?

I want to make a gift package for 1 dog and 1 cat, but am short on cash for ingredients. Is there one fail-safe recipe that is healthy for both dogs and cats and that they'll both love?

    I do the same sort of thing. Remember lots of garlic but no onion. I also give our dog dry food and add a can of cheap sardines (about 55c) he really likes that. Always check the different supermarkets for their specials on can food and buy up big if you can
