Connecting flight and baggage?

I am due to take an international connecting flight via London Heathrow. On my return flight I wish to stay in London and forfeit the final leg of the flight home to Ireland.

Does anyone know if I can get my checked in luggage back at this stage or will the airline send the baggage on to the final destination?

Your checked baggage will continue on to your final destination unless you can convince the airline to pull it out of circulation. Either try to plan this out with the airline before you take off or talk to an airline employee after you land (which will cost you your baggage if they are unable to help).

Keep in mind, this is seen as a form of fare-dodging by the airlines, as sometimes it's cheaper to take a flight that routes through a city then it is to just take a flight to that city. Depending on airline policies, you might be placed on their "No-Fly" list if you're found out.

I know this is how it works with domestic flights in the USA. I've never flown international, so things might be different.

Your cut back for the finished experience is that of the "weakest" hyperlink interior the chain. If Kingfisher impose a single case and 20kg bags allowance then in prepare it somewhat is your cut back for the finished experience, in spite of whether yet another airline alongside the way enables you greater. whether you're waiting to pay extra costs on one case being over their allowed cut back, they are impossible to allow you the 2d case.
