Update for my last question, please?

Some said I should update this, and have tried quickly. Maybe the state will like it!

THE GEM OF THE MOUNTAINS

**************************************

'America the Beautiful'

could have been written

about my home state...

"For amber waves of grain"

should be

"green leaves standing proud".

"For purple mountains majesties"

would work.

"Above the fruited plain"

would be

"above the evergreens or sagebrush"

Obviously,

"America, America"

would be

"Idaho, oh Idaho".

"God shed his grace on thee"

"And crown thy good with brotherhood"

Perfect.

"From sea to shining sea"

We're landlocked...

"And here we have Idaho,

winning her place in fame.

Silver and gold in the sunlight blaze,

and romance lies in her name".

NEVER forget your home;

nor how you feel about it.

Love is always there

sometimes you just have to look for it!

Hard to write; even harder to re-write the little bit I did.

This here is a fabulous poem.

    Proving big words,overblown pomp,

Do not make a poem enjoyable.

Thank you for giving us a real poem.

    'America The Once Beautiful'

In 1776 The Declaration of Independence was born,

created The Constitution that we sworn.

Founding fathers were brave who ended British Law crusade,

not before long there were traitors that have been paid.

Infiltrating our domain with musical lures,

    propaganda media deaths medical cures.

    Mentally insane our people remain,

dumb down society war torn terrain.

We are the few who lose,

not many care about the news.

Not enough to research the blames,

    endless lying and endless games.

I await the day when my country is restored,

    politics and parties reformed.

The People renewed and happily prosper,

    without financial ends meet copper.

Lil Bro.........well, you know how it is. You can't please everyone, and I will flat out tell you, when I read the first version I totally forgot that the next one was a re-write of the first one.

See my comments in the little thingy comment section as yahoo is nice enough to provide this. I actually liked the first one better. I think some of the advice must have been to trim some off the 1st one, scale back, so it is not easy, so

Still, good overall effort, and am glad you are proud of your state. I am what they call a Yankee Cowboy, not to be mistaken with Midnight Cowboy.

Grace and Peace to you bro Idaho

I think you do your state proud. I didn't see your first effort, but we all, somehow should feel "home" and I agree in part with Beth. I know where I was born, mostly raised and will always come back to

So, I need to include our state tree of North Dakota in my song: telephone pole?

Well - you did a very good job. I have no homeland I can be attached to - I have moved too often.
