Rather than focusing on an unwanted healthcare "legacy", shouldn't Obama have focused on the economy instead?
With overwhelming majorities in the house and senate during his first two years, couldn't he have passed whatever job creation bills he wanted?
Instead, he spent trillions on nothing and blew all of his political capital, creating a healthcare bill that the majority of the country doesn't want....
Are you really considering voting for this failure again?

But that's the very problem the government can either do two things, create public sector jobs, or get in the way of creating jobs in the private sector.
Governments can not create private sector jobs. But their policies can severely limit the ability or desire of any business to grow and hire and innovate.
In fact in the history of America, no government program or policy has ever created private sector jobs.
The real way to get a better economy is:
1. Repeal ObamaCare, it is too costly and very unconstitutional.
2. Reduce taxes on individuals, businesses, and investors. The funny thing is, that we usually collect a lot more tax revenue at lower rates of taxes than at higher rates of taxation. Higher Rates discourage economic growth, pure and simple.
3. De-regulate so that businesses and people can have their time and energy spent on growing financially. I did not say de-criminalize, all criminal actions should be reported but most of the paperwork created by regulation is just an attack on business, not based on any real problem.
When you keep attacking businesses or people who want to become rich, you attack our very economic foundations.
So guess why your anti-business policies have done crap for growing the employment rate or stock market or etc.

Focusing on healthcare was focusing on the economy. People couldn't afford medical care or insurance. All their money was going to those things and nothing was left for spending on items that would boost the economy.
Obama also got us out of Iraq, which was a huge drain on the economy. He also bailed out the banks that the Bush Administration had failed to adequately regulate, thereby saving the economy.
Obama's actions have turned the economy around. We would be in a depression right now if it weren't for him. http://www.businessinsider.com/heres-the-one-unemp...
Also there weren't overwhelming majorities in both houses. The Senate didn't have enough Democrats to stop a filibuster, which is why passing the health care legislation was so difficult.

I've always been confused what the majority of Americans have against socialized health care. I love socialized health care. I moved to another country to get it. My parents, who live in the US, pay more for their health care than for their mortgage. Meanwhile I pay literally 1/10th what they pay and my coverage is a hell of a lot better. Plus the hospitals don't shoo you out the door as soon as your procedure is finished. My father-in-law had appendicitis recently and they kept him in the hospital for a week after the surgery (which he didn't have to wait for, of course) to make sure he was ok.
Socialized medicine is cheaper and more efficient. It's really that simple. That's why the Mayo Clinic is basically run like a socialized hospital.
