Large CPU Coolers- installation order?

I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and a Corsair 300R mid tower case. Just getting started on assembly. Would you recommend installing the motherboard into the case first, or installing the CPU and heatsink on the mobo first?

You always put the cpu and cpu cooler on the motherboard before putting it inside the case.

The cpu cooler cutout is not on all cases, and that is made to be able to change a cpu cooler AFTER you have the motherboard installed, not before...

    EDIT: omg u dumb nigr

i know the corsair 300R has that, but what about cases that dont have that, its not good to be in the habit of installing that way for cases that dont...

Its well known knowledge to put the cpu/heatsink on before putting it in your case. i dont think ive ever heard of 1 person in this word other then you doing it that way...

its harder to install it while in in the case.

think about installing a heatsink while the motherboard is on. you have to take off the back side panel, and the motherboard while the computer like this is facing sideways.

Ok so when installing the heatsink, you will have to try and hold the heatsink up while installing it.

You need to have proper contact between cpu and heatsink. well if you are trying to balance the heatsink, this isnt going to be a very effect way to so do. and especially if you add thermal paste, which should be spread by using the heatsink to do 90 degree turns on top the cpu, and then properly attached.

so umm, ya i have much more knowledge/experience then you, you are a fking retard...

Install the motherboard then put the cpu. Then open the other side panel and install the back plate and heatsink.

@Filenotfound Both panels can be removed on the 300R and you have access to the back of the motherboard. GTFO of here noob

Edit: That why you lay it on it side numnuts. Gosh I hate noobs like you
