What was a time when you were really surprised by a band's live show?

I went to a concert to see a bunch of cool bands, some were math rock. One of these math rock bands was called Two Knights. I listened to their music and I was not that intrigued or impressed.

But when they started their set, there were only two people. That always makes it more interesting. The next thing I know, their guitarist is playing some of the most intricate tapping parts I've seen, while at the same time singing. The drummer had everything laid down perfectly to fill the spaces. It was so impressive, I looked at this random dude next to me and we were both amazed, our jaws were wide open haha.

This is the band I'm referring to, check them out!

Here's him tapping and singing at the same time:

and here's a studio version of an awesome song of theirs called "D4: What the Puck?"

and this is the most beautiful thing you will ever hear [14 seconds]

MQ: Describe a time when you were surprised by a band you saw live.

BQ: What did you think of Two Knights? They're one of my favorites and I'm really wondering what you guys think of them.

I don't think I've been surprised by any, but I was surprised when a friend of mine said that Cage The Elephant were pretty crap live, since I always figured they'd be a great band to see live, given their charisma and other accounts of them playing live.

BA: I wasn't really feeling it tbh, I think the vocals put me off for the most part

P.S. Rocket Queen has a new album review people, gogogo

I even have by no capability seen a rap team carry out properly stay, yet I even have seen stay exhibits on television and Jay Z does notably solid. Thats what occurs in case you haven't any longer any skills and placed the mic into the gang for a million/2 of it reason you won't be ready to keep in mind your guy or woman lyrics. I observed Angels and Airwaves stay. (Tom DeLong from Blink 182s band now) i did no longer incredibly dig them earlier yet they have been terrible on point. Thank god Weezer got here on after and rocked the joint.

I saw the Scorpions in 2002. I was kind of meh about it and now they are one of my favorite bands.

I enjoyed seeing Tracy Chapman as well. The tickets were free so.. BOY was I surprised!

now, I have most everything by those two in my music library.

    edit: listening...

I was never that big a fan of Queen until I saw them live and they blew me away, probably still the best live band I ever saw.
