Difference between DVD+ and DVD-?

If I want the download ISOs, which would I use.

    the + and - represent two different recording standards. the plus was originally used by sony engines and the minus by philips engines. most modern devices can use either. since philips licensed the majority of DVD devices, the minus is considered the one to use for maximum compatibility.
