How is revenue generated for Sky news? Hows it paid for?

I understand the main one must b advertisements?

    Ads and subs, and the Tory party.

    You can get Sky news on the TV without paying for the other Sky channels. I don't have Sky subscriptions yet I often I enjoy Sky news on Freeview.

    Probably a lot-of people don't realise this pertinent fact ? As you say it seems it must be the Ads.. that finance it.

    There is a lot of prestige running an international broadcaster so some revenue from the paid side is probably used for the News channel.

    They are getting almost a £100 a month of me. That's without the Movies.

    Got it in one plus the subscription for having the gear .
