Is it true that on R&S, there are no right or wrong answers, only "best" answers?

In many cases the asker will have an idea of what they want for an answer and chooses accordingly. That would be the answer the asker agrees with.

In some cases an answer is chosen so that the asker can rant a little in their comment (happened to me). Then it's basically the answer the asker liked least in absence of any good answer.

I don't believe a best answer is chosen in this category.

The only answers that are chosen are the ones that the asker has an affinity for in accordance with his or her world view.

It is just as you stated "Best Answer - Chosen by Asker" which means that the asker chose the answer he liked the best and isnt necessarily the one that you or I would have chosen as our best.

Its like that with a lot of things, even religion. Many times people will choose one that they like best, that suits them and their needs and reject the one that requires effort or changes to their lifestyle.

If we do get a worst answer option then the person whose answer gets chosen as the worst answer should have some points deducted.
