    With Windows 7 there is an easy way to find things like this.

    Down in the bottom left, click the windows symbol.

    You will see a small search window.

    In this window type "change keyboard"

    You will see a list of possible results appearing. Near the top you will see "Change Keyboards or other input methods" click this and it will take you to an option to switch your keyboard type.

    Select Change Keyboards

    If the UK keyboard is not listed in the installed services list, then click add.

    When finished click apply and you're done!

    Control panel -> Region -> Change Keyboard

    If you don't see your keyboard listed, from the Keyboard and Languages tab, do the following:

    Add -> English (United Kingdoms)

  • Go to:

    Control Panel, then click "Clock, Language and Region" the click "Change Keyboards and Other input methods" then click "Change Keyboards" and in the "General" tab there should be the "default input language" selected --in this case -- should be ENGLISH U.S ....click the drop down menu and select ENGLISH U.K........if this option is not available -----simple----------- below on "Install services" there will be a US keyboard showing only therefore Click the "ADD" button and scroll down to "English- United Kingdom" and tick UK......click ok...and NOW the "install services" will be showing two keyboard........

    Go up to "default input language" and select the drop down menu again ---this time the UK version keyboard should be available.............select it and BOOOOOM...........u good to go...........SORTED.

    good luck
