Why is my Loach acting this way?

I recently added a new loach into my tank (I am aware you should get at least 3 but the girl at the store literally was only able to catch one in the 20 minutes she was trying to get them, so will be going to get more soon!) and holy smokes is he hyper! He flies around the tank all day long!

Is this normal? This is my first loach, he is being kept with a Betta and 6 Rummynose Tetras and has been in there about 4 days. Is he adjusting? Is this normal (I have read they can be like this sometimes if they are happy?).

Thanks for any help!

Update:

There are many many many hiding spaces :) 4 rocks, a few plants, "drift wood" (it's plastic-type material made to look like wood), and 2 dinosaur skulls.

He likes to lay in and under the rocks the most I've noticed, but when he's not under them he just flies around the tank!

Update 2:

Oh, and also, it is a Kuhli Loach

Is there any place for him to hide? What kind of loach is it? I know Kuhli and Dojo loaches love to hide and will only fly around the tank if disturbed. I wouldn't worry too much about him though because most of the time when the loaches are dying they do a sort of Barrel roll continuously. Hes probably fine. I would give him some moss balls to lay under.

Knowig the species of loach could help. This kind of behaviour could be because it;s by itself, it could be because you're not providing any hiding places.

Silly shop girl, kuhli are easy if you use two nets. The behaviour is fairly typical for a single kuhli that's not on sand. a half buried terracotta flowerpot will be very welcome, especially if you plant a bit around it.

As long as you have proper parameters, it should be fine. Is your water quality good?

    Ammonia and nitrites?

    Temperature?

    pH?

Loaches act weird and sometimes they will lay down on their backs when they are lazy. This is a normal sign
