I'm not going to lecture you about getting high. Whatever you're 17 that's what teenagers do for fun a lot of the time. I will strongly caution you though about taking more Vicodin than what's recommended. The reason for this is that Vicodin contains Tylenol along with the Hydrocodone which is the narcotic that makes you feel high. Tylenol is metabolized (taken out of the bloodstream) by the liver. If you take too much Tylenol at once your liver cannot keep up and can FAIL. If this happens you will die, and it's a painful ugly death that takes days or weeks with the only treatment being a liver transplant.

That 5/500 is the milligrams of Hydrocodone and Tylenol contained in each tablet. 5mg of Hydrocodone to 500mg of Tylenol. An extra-strength Tylenol is 500mg. You shouldn't take more than eight extra-strength Tylenol in an entire day. Therefore, you also you shouldn't take more than eight Vicodin either...over an entire day. Do not take more than two at a time.

This is not bullshit. Liver failure has been known to happen even in the hospital when people are given what is considered a 'safe' dose of Vicodin (or any narcotic medication that's mixed with Tylenol). I would not bullshit you on this one, I'm a medical professional and just want to give you information to keep you safe.
