Help me With TVIX stock!?

I am new to stock trading, Already made a mess on my AAPL trade, and I am in fear I may have made another mistake buying TVIX, I bought 1k shares at 7.68 and I am alreay down 6% in less than one day!! Please help me, should I hold or should I sell for a loss. Any thought?

    So TVIX is based on the price of a par variance swap that you can estimate using a kernel smoother on option implied volatilities. Do you have any idea what that means? Any clue at all? How many of those words can you identify? And yet you decided that you were going to trade this stock. What word would you use to decsribe someone who does something like that?
