Nik prayed when walking across Niagara, why?

He used the stunt in part to promote his religious beliefs. I liked how the ABC network ignored it for the most part and even muted him in some parts of the walk.

Not to discount his achievement, but the reason he made it across was mainly thanks to science and engineering. For example, the wire was specially designed to remain steady in the winds and to allow for enough grip given the wet conditions. It would have been nice had he at least once thanked the engineers and training assistance during the walk.

Also, the long balancing pole makes falling to the left or right pretty much impossible, the challenge is not to fall forwards or backwards, and not to cramp up or take a misstep. His specially made shoes give a lot of friction against the wire making slipping unlikely. There is a lot of physics involved that makes a seemingly impossible task very possible. It would have been probably more difficult for him to walk across a 50 foot wire 1 foot off the ground in running shoes and without a balancing poll.

He also was forced to wear a tether, although I understand he wanted to do it without the tether, it at least indicates how much the sponsors believe that a deity would protect him from falling.

I to find it intriguing on account that thats what his passion is. Definite its loopy to us however he is within the leisure business so thats what he does. I recognize him for the braveness he has even tho i would on no account do it. He's very good at what he does and used to be calm and constructive the complete time he was once in that obstacle which isn't an handy thing to receive.

He was thanking God for keeping him safe. Probably also thanking Him for the opportunity to get so much publicity and money.

I got gay married a little less than a year ago within sight of where he started praying. Obviously my gay marriage scared the bejeesusses out of him and they all came out of his mouth.
