Are there any Amish people here on Yahoo! Answers?
Maybe using some kind of barn-building powered computer?

Why so much bad attitude/bigotry about the Amish? There is a reason for everything and I am sure they have reasons.
Did you know the amish descended from English, Scottish, Vikings. knights, noblemen, held "family seats" ? [look it up] Their ancestors probably saw more slaughter and bloodshed during the 30 year war than they ever want to see again. After the long war they were still persecuted, their lands taken from them and were pushed onto the rockiest, most mountainous land? Imagine trying to eke out a living farming rocks.
They did and they survived and thrived and were once again forced out because even the "princes" of the lands were jealous of them. They are still great craftsmen because they believe in doing their best in whatever their hands find to do, AND YOU benefit from it.
Is it any wonder they chose to turn away from their former life to one of peace and a quiet life? They are not free from struggle but trying the best way they can to have a good life. They are very intelligent, innovative people, holding VERY early patents. They have earned the right to be respected.
