prednisone weight gain?
I've recently been put on 50mg/day of prednisone for a week, then 50mg/every other day for the next week for what the docs and dermatologists think is contact dermatitis/ server allergic reaction.
I'm pretty concerned with having a swollen face and gaining weight. Has anyone had any experiences with this drug at this high amount for a short amount of time that they can share any info on?
They never told me about any side effects to begin with. Good right?

The side effects are really bad. You will gain a lot of weight, not to mention that long term use leads to severe joint damage. It increases your appetite and causes water retention. People that use it regularly look like sh!$. If you having hives or rashes that you have no idea where they are coming from, then may I suggest that what your possibly allergic to is something that you are eating. They thought I had contact dermatitis but I actually have pressure hive and they show up on my hands because that's where most pressure happens, but happen on the bottoms of my feet and anywhere I would put pressure on my skin. Look at what you eat, anything from a restaurant or a package has mostly ingredients that aren't even food, so it would not be a surprise that your body would create an immune response to something that you shouldn't be eating. If your skin condition typically last 3 days then I can almost say for certain that your dermatitis is caused by chemicals in food.
Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, I cured myself from my condition with food. I look at every ingredient in everything I eat and I don't have any problems, but as soon as I go to a restaurant or just dont care that day my hands and feet blow up with pressure hives. Go cave man for a week, and see if you have problems. Meaning just eat meat and produce, no bread crumbs.
