lets back up abit before easter when Jesus was on the cross... When he said his last words he said "It is finished" that means there is now a way for mankind to be forgiven of there sin. Now with easter and the resurrection. Each year its a reminder of the sacrifice he made upon the cross and reminder of his offer of salvation. Now in current terms: each year you have a birthday you celebrate yeah??? Why??? To celebrate you being born.

First you need to repent before you can be forgiven.

Repent means to turn back or to turn around. This means you must turn away from sin.

Christ said if you return to your sins it is worse than a dog returning to it's vomit.

Onece you are forgiven God declares you Righteous and makes you His child.

All you have to do is ask and mean it. If you are sorry and repent God will forgive you and come to dwell with you. As fantastic as this sounds it's true. Try it!

If your parents forgive you for breaking a lamp one day does that mean you can be a jerk after the anniversary of that the day they forgave you each time? No.
