Do we have the same Squad Members from Mass Effect 2 in Mass Effect 3?
REMEMBER THESE ARE QUESTIONS ONLY REGARDING TO SQUAD MEMBERS AND CREW MATES !!!!! Okay so i now understand that if you have Mass Effect 2 saved on your console, than your squad members from the second game (that didn't die in the last mission) will appear in Mass Effect 3. So will they still be part of your crew? What happens if you don't have Mass Effect 2 data saved on your console, than what will happen in Mass Effect 3? I need EVERYTHING you guys know regarding the squad topic because i really liked my members from Mass Effect 2 and i would hate to lose some of them for new ones.

Garrus, Liara, and Tali are the only ones that return as part of your squad. They will be in the game even if you don't have an ME2 save to import. You also get either Ashley or Kaidan, and a new guy named Vega.The rest of your ME2 squad will make cameo appearances, but they are not playable.

The only two members of your ME2 squad that you can actually put on a squad in ME3 are Garrus and Tali. Everyone else who survives will put in an appearance in ME3 and can become war assets, but they will not join Shepard on the Normandy as a squad member. You will also regain Liara and can optionally get the survivor from Verminem from ME1. You will also have two 'New' characters as squad members in ME3. There is also one optional DLC squad member, who is new to the series.
If you did not import ME2 data into ME3 90% of them will be dead or unavailable. This INCLUDES Garrus, who is an optional character in ME1, and Tali.
Note: it is HIGHLY likely that you will lose one or more ME1 or ME2 characters during ME3. Jack, Mordin, Wrex, Legion, Tali, and Miranda all have the possibility of dying due to decisions in ME3. ALWAYS do the side quests first! (It might not be possible to save Mordin and Wrex. In the same way it is -not- possible to save Tali and Legion, but only Tali is a squad member.)
Thane will also appear if he survives the suicide mission, but his death in ME3 is inevitable.
