Baby poop consistency changed!!!?
My daughter is 9 months.. a week ago her poop changed from regular baby poop on solids to this mucusy consistency that can absorb in the diaper.. it sometimes comes out along with farts and she strains hard to pass these mucusy poops.. I took her to the doc she hasn't showed any weight loss.. no dehydration.. they took a sample and I'm now waitin for results.. she is still breastfed and eating solids.. absolutely nothing in our diets changes that I can think of that's causing the change.. does anyone have any ideas or tips to help me further investigate what could be happening.. my doc has no clue

Other than waiting for the doc's report, the only advice I can offer is that some intestinal bugs cause symptoms like this, and sometimes they are mild enough not to do much harm in the way of dehydration (especially in a breast fed infant, as research has shown that breast milk contains substances that can help curb stomach viruses from becoming serious).
If her symptoms are the result of an infection, the doc will be able to tell you through the stool analysis.
Good luck!

Your daughter probably has diarhea. Has she eaten anything unusual in the last 48 hrs? If you feel like she is really in serious pain or this continues for more than a few days you should bring her to anallergistt to see if it is something you are feeding her. As babies grow, their sensitivities change rapidly. One day she can be chowing down applesauce and the next day getting hives from it.

Is she teething? Babies drool a lot while teething and while some will drool all over, some will swallow it. This can cause changes in their poop. My daughter swallowed her drool and it really thinned out her poop but it wasn't any easier to pass. This just one thing I can think of. Good luck!
