Enlarged spleen?!?!??

I have mono, & my spleen is enlarged, you can see it on the outside of my stomach. It hurts when I breathe. I've been sweating, & I've been dizzy. Should I go to the hospital?

At the very least, you should go to your doctor as soon as possible. However, if it is really this bad, perhaps the emergency room might not be such a bad idea. Either way, don't ignore this. Take care of it before it gets worse, ok? Good luck, honey.

Yes! My boyfriend had mono for 8 months straight and was almost hospitalized. His spleen and gall bladder were both very swollen. He had to go once a week for an ultrasound and was told not to do anything physically demanding because it might rupture his spleen. He too would always sweat (even in air conditioning) and get very dizzy. He also slept about 16+ hrs a day. He literally felt like he was dying.

You should definitely get yours checked out. If your spleen ruptures, many toxins will be released into your body and this can be very dangerous.

For now I propose an Internist (on your u . s . that's inner drugs branch)...or oncologist (the worst difficulty) besides, smoke or drink might reason the difficulty...yet you overlook to evaluate your weight loss software because of the fact the liver and spleen are in contact in the digestion. Do you have the different indications? desire it is not something severe. recuperate quickly!
