7.5 month old eating schedule?
My girlfriend and i are on the fun journey of having a child.. we want him to be going on good guidelines, so can you please let me know how this schedule looks? she works at 10:30 (me at 7)so hes at daycare from then until 4:30.. we use gerber formula, and alternate fruit or veg
8-9, wake up, 6 oz bottle (2 scoops)
one hour nap
11- (at daycare) 5 oz bottle(2 scoops), one container fruit or veg
half hour nap
3- (at daycare) 5 oz bottle(2 scoops), one container fruit or veg
half hour nap
6- 5 oz bottle(2 scoops), one container fruit or veg
nap from 7:30-8:30
9- 7 oz bottle (3 scoops)
9:30 bath
10 bed time
should he be getting any oatmeal or cereal during the day, or at night? also, we'd like him to get to bed earlier but still sleep throughout the night.. i dont know if thats possible because he already sleeps 10-11 hours a night anyway, but itd be nice..any ideas would be great..
i guess he isnt napping in the morning any more, he used to when he was little, but im not home because im at work.. so i was wrong about that one.. he gets about 2 hours worth of nap time a day total..
and about the formula.. he was getting 4 oz each time and 6 at night, then i read somewhere that water is very important to a baby and they should be getting 26-32 ounces a day at his age, so we snuck in a extra ounce or 2 every time..
do you really think hes malnourished? he gets a lot of solids, and a total of 11 scoops of formula a day.. should we give him 3 in the morning as well? im no expert, but he is a little chunker haha.. the reason i ask all this is because he is small.. hes been 10th percentile his whole life.. but still chunky, if that makes sense haha

You are doing fine. i just think the baby should get only two containers of food a day. i do it like that. fruit in the morning and veggie at night. maybe thats because my son drinks 8 oz. I think you are doing fine though. when it comes to sleeping, i suggest you do not put him down earlier unless you like waking up early. if his schedule is like this, leave it like that. he will create his own little by little

First of all you are not measuring the formula right. It's been a while for me but isn't it 1 scoop for every two ounces of formula? You add the water to the mark or on the bottle Then add the formula.
He sure is takeing a a lot of naps. He really should only need 2 good naps a day. And why is he napping after only being awake for an hour or less?, then a couple hours later, then a couple hours later etc...
Of course he isn;t sleeping well when he is napping until 8:30. Try for one moring nap, this can be done at day care, and one after noon nap...after lunch or so.
****Baby's do not need water. They need the nurtrients from formula or breast milk. The foods he is eating is not for the purpose of nourishing, but for experiencing new foods, tastes and textures. So yes if you are not mixing the formula properly you could be mal nourishing him.
If I am correct in remembering the amount of scoops per ounce(s) ratio then you are mal nourishing your baby. He needs most of his feeding and nutrients from his bottle.
Get him up sooner give him two naps a day and put him to bed a little sooner. Play with him as much as you can when he is awake to wear him out.

To get him to bed earlier, wake him earlier. But it may mess up his nap schedule with daycare.
He doesn't need cereal, cereal is mainly for the iron and since he's on an iron fortified formula presumably, he's fine. You might want to cut down on the solids a bit, as it seems to be quite a bit for 7 months, but there are no real guidelines set out for his age. Until one food is for fun, his nutrition mainly comes through formula.

i understand what you're saying! I have 21 month previous twins and for my personal sanity i concept per chance i could get my 6 week previous on a agenda, a three hour agenda contained in the sunlight hours and then feed on call for at nighttime. It did not artwork. I were feeding him a minimum of each and every 2 hours even if he replaced into exhibiting starvation cues or no longer. I did that because i wanted to maximise his sunlight hours eating so as that he does no longer be up all nighttime lengthy. That worked quite darn properly, actual. he will usually bypass 3-4 hours at nighttime. So besides, i concept that feeding him a minimum of each and every 3 hours would artwork yet he ended up being hungry at round each and every 2 and a million/2 hours, or 2 hours, or an hour and a 0.5, regardless of. i'm in simple terms feeding him on cue now yet no longer letting him bypass longer than 3 hours yet i'm no longer attempting to have him on a three hour feeding agenda. i will make certain why human beings do it, exceedingly at the same time as they produce different little ones, yet i do not want to no longer feed him if he's hungry so i'm in simple terms going to provide it extra time. This week he has been from time to time eating some cases an hour for a really short era of time in accordance to feed. Newborns are humorous.
