Are there Christian 2 trinity dogmas?

From speaking with a few people that believe in it I am starting to think that there are 2 different versions.

The first is that there is 1 GOD in heaven that sits on 1 throne and he made himself a body, sacrificed it, and went to heaven where he merged back with himself. He is also Holy spirit of course.

The second is stated as Jesus is GOD but is literally not the Father who is GOD, or HOLY ghost. That there is a separation between them supported by the conversations they have together but only together are they GOD therefore still 1 GOD.

That's the impression I get but I'm not sure if that's entirely accurate.

No I don't believe in the doctrine myself but I do want to be accurately informed.

I used to hear for years that it was merely a "Mystery". I guess people actually changed religions over that, ha! So, now you have all sorts of illustrations like, water and ice, the egg that has a yoke, and shell, the list goes on. Strangely though, it doesn't match the scriptures, does it?

Why would Jesus Christ say on one hand that he came to earth to explain his Father (John 1:18) and then turn around and say HE is the Father? If you told a child that, what do you think the child would say to you? That you are lying!!!

Here are some scriptures that would indicate that there truly is TWO individuals here:

YOU heard that I said to YOU, I am going away and I am coming [back] to YOU. If YOU loved me, YOU would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am. John 14:28

Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner. For the Father has affection for the Son and shows him all the things he himself does, and he will show him works greater than these, in order that YOU may marvel. John 5:19, 20

And the one that cannot be explained:

The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is:

    “Sit at my right hand

Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.” Ps. 110:1

A child can understand the King being on the throne while the Prince is sitting next to him on his right hand. Yet, many high minded and dogmatic Trinitarians will Not See the Obvious, will they?

No there are not two trinity doctrines. The first belief that you mention is similar to Unitarianism or modalism, neither of which are the doctrine of the trinity. You could try reading the Athanasian creed which was made to firmly state what the doctrine of the trinity as there were heresys developing regarding modalism and unitarianism. The doctrine of the Trinity (briefly) is that there is 1 being of God made of of 3 co-equal, co-eternal persons (the father, son and spirit) who are not distinct in their personage but united in their diety. The father is not the son or the spirit, the son is not the father or the spirit and the spirit is not the father or the son. They are all eternal, none of them being created and none of them are God on their own, it is not the belief that three gods make up one God. here is the Athanasian Creed

This creed is attributed to Athanasius, the fourth century bishop of Alexandria who was the strongest defender of the doctrines of the Trinity and the divinity of Christ. It defines the doctrines of the Trinity and the nature of Christ in very concise language.

Please note that the term "catholic" with the lower case 'c' is not a reference to the Roman Catholic Church, but is a reference to the universal Christian faith, since that is how the term was originally used.

Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith. Which faith except everyone do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly. And the catholic faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity, neither confounding the persons, nor dividing the substance.

For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit. But the godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, is all one, the glory equal, the majesty co-eternal.

Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit. The Father uncreated, the Son uncreated, and the Holy Spirit uncreated. The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Spirit incomprehensible.

The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Spirit eternal. And yet they are not three eternals, but one Eternal.

As also there are not three incomprehensibles, nor three uncreated, but one Uncreated, and one Incomprehensible. So likewise the Father is Almighty, the Son Almighty, and the Holy Spirit Almighty. And yet they are not three almighties, but one Almighty.

So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. And yet they are not three gods, but one God.

So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord, and the Holy Spirit Lord. And yet not three lords, but one Lord.

For as we are compelled by the Christian verity to acknowledge each Person by Himself to be both God and Lord, so we are also forbidden by the catholic religion to say that there are three gods or three lords.

The Father is made of none, neither created, nor begotten. The Son is of the Father alone, not made, nor created, but begotten. The Holy Spirit is of the Father, neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding.

So there is one Father, not three fathers; one Son, not three sons; one Holy Spirit, not three holy spirits.

And in the Trinity none is before or after another; none is greater or less than another, but all three Persons are co-eternal together and co-equal. So that in all things, as is aforesaid, the Unity in Trinity and the Trinity in Unity is to be worshipped.

He therefore that will be saved must think thus of the Trinity.

Furthermore, it is necessary to everlasting salvation that he also believe rightly the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ. For the right faith is, that we believe and confess, that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and man; God, of the substance of the Father, begotten before the worlds; and man of the substance of his mother, born in the world; perfect God and perfect man, of a rational soul and human flesh subsisting. Equal to the Father, as touching His godhead; and inferior to the Father, as touching His manhood; who, although He is God and man, yet he is not two, but one Christ; one, not by conversion of the godhead into flesh but by taking of the manhood into God; one altogether; not by confusion of substance, but by unity of person. For as the rational soul and flesh is one man, so God and man is one Christ; who suffered for our salvation, descended into hell, rose again the third day from the dead. He ascended into heaven, He sits at the right hand of the Father, God Almighty, from whence He will come to judge the quick and the dead. At His coming all men will rise again with their bodies and shall give account for their own works. And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting; and they that have done evil into everlasting fire.

This is the catholic faith, which except a man believe faithfully, he cannot be saved.

    1. Some Trinitarions believe "God" is made up of 3 distinct persons.

    2. Others Believe: "God" was only one person but showed himself in 3 different ways....'Father, Son, Holy Spirit...(This is where Jesus would come in as being GOD himself...

There is a problem with either of these two. It is hard to explain what The Bible Teaches in this short space but let me give you the basic....SORRY it is so long....(THIS IS COPY AND PASTE FROM MY "OWN" BOOK AND LESSONS) so I hope this is acceptable....to keep me from re-write:

    18. GOD

(See also "Jesus" & "Holy Spirit")

We believe in one living God” and He is “spirit”.

He has no beginning and no end.

He has always been and always will be.

He is life itself and all parts of God are alive yet he is one.

His “Word”, “Will and Desire”, and very “Breath” are alive and gives life and can never be separated from God, for in fact they are God.

Though the frail human mind may try to separate these living parts of God into several “distinct persons” or beings, He is not!

In what might be called a ‘paradox’, God is “one” yet He is spirit and all parts of Him live.

He is the creator, love, truth, power, and the life that sustains all that there ever was, all that there is and all that ever will be.

    26. JESUS

    (See God and Holy Spirit)

We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is The Lord and Savior, The Messiah. And just as you and I existed in 2 separate forms (before our Mothers and Fathers united the 2 forms making one), the Messiah also existed in two separate forms.

He existed from the beginning for he is ‘The Living Word of God” which comes forth from God and is in fact God. Jesus the human existed as a human egg in the body of his earthly Mother, a virgin named Mary and just as God used Noah as the vessel to create the ark that offered salvation to mankind during the flood, God also used Mary as the vessel to create the Savior through which salvation is offered to mankind today.

God chose that particular egg inside of Mary to become our Savior. He united with the human egg by the power of His Holy Spirit through His ‘Living Word’ when He told the egg to grow, thus infusing together “God and human Man”. In other words; The first form which is “God” united with the second form which is “the human egg” and made a third form, a complete new one of a kind form, (God/Man) that is called Messiah, Master, Savior, Lord, King, Jesus the Christ!

We believe that Jesus grew and matured physically like any other human child would. And that through out his life he was tempted to sin just as any human is tempted, but unlike other humans he remained sinless. He was baptized in the river to obey the Father’s ‘living will’ and to give an example and demonstration that all who desire to join with The Father are to follow.

    24. HOLY SPIRIT

    (See also God and Jesus)

We believe that even The Father’s thoughts and will are alive. The ‘living will’ [Holy Spirit] lives inside all believers to guide us, convict us, cleanse our conscience, and give us peace of mind.

We receive the Holy Spirit when we are baptized as a sign of God’s promise to us of eternal life. This is how we become ‘one’ with Christ, just as Christ was ‘one’ with The Father.

This living “will” Spirit lives inside all believers to guide us, convicts us, cleanse our conscience, and give us peace of mind. "One God" but all parts are alive. We must remember that we are speaking of "spirit life" of which we cannot totally understand or explain.

The believer is sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. This is acknowledged and symbolized in a prayer of consecration (following baptism) by the laying on of hands of the elder. As a member of the body of Christ, the believer experiences spiritual growth and edification within the church.

    Dear friend,

The reason why people say Jesus is God is because they have adopted a pagan teaching that dates back to Babylon and Egypt. So here are a few thing to consider:

Jesus in Praying to HIS FATHER said: "This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17: 3. So listen to what the son says when he calls his father THE ONLY TRUE GOD!

Here are a few more things to think about, , "

The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him." (John 13:16) Jesus said on numerous occasions that, "the Father… hath sent me." (John 5:37,6:37)

Jesus prays to God. (John 17:1-3)

Jesus has faith in God. (Hebrews 2:17,18, Hebrews 3:2)

Jesus is a servant of God. (Acts 3:13)

Jesus does not know things God knows. (Mark 13:32, Revelation 1:1)

    Jesus worships God. (John 4:22)

Jesus has one who is God to him. (Revelation 3:12)

Jesus is in subjection to God. (1 Corinthians 15:28)

Jesus' head is God. (1 Corinthians 11:1)

Jesus has reverent submission, fear, of God. (Hebrews 5:7)

Jesus is given lordship by God. (Acts 2:36)

Jesus is exalted by God.(Acts 5:31)

Jesus is made high priest by God. (Hebrews 5:10)

Jesus is given authority by God. (Philippians 2:9)

Jesus is given kingship by God. (Luke 1:32,33)

Jesus is given judgment by God. (Acts 10:42)

"God raised [Jesus] from the dead". (Acts 2:24, Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:15)

Jesus is at the right hand of God. (Mark 16:19, Luke 22:69, Acts 2:33, Romans 8:34)

Jesus is the one human mediator between the one God and man. (1 Timothy 2:5)

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. (1 John 4:12)

God put everything, except Himself, under Jesus. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)

Jesus did not think being "equal with God" was graspable. (Philippians 2:6)

"Around the ninth hour, Jesus shouted in a loud voice, saying "Eli Eli lama sabachthani?" which is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"" (Matthew 27:46)

I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one "like a son of man" with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." Rev 14: 14-15 Here is Jesus is taking orders from another angel ! Can we beleive that an angel who orders Christ to harvest the earth is giving orders to God Himself! Or that he would have to tell the omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing) Most High "God the Son" when and how to do anything?

The trinity doctrine as many people know was agreed upon in the 3rd century at the council of Nicaea, by this time the apostasy foretold by the apostle Paul had set in Act 20:29-30 & 2 Tim 4: 3-4, 1 Tim 4:1, just think about this for a moment, Constantine a pagan ruler of Rome, chairing this council, and most of the bishops he invited to the council were from Alexandria in EGYPT, now we all know that the Egyptians were famous for there pagan Gods and worshiped trinity gods, the main ones being the 3 in 1 gods Isis, Horus and Osiris in fact that is what made the Jews so different in that they were monotheistic. Jehovah had warned his people over and over to keep away from the pagan nations so that they would not be induced to serve their gods. The Romans had their dual God of Janus, the Greeks had their trinity gods as did those from Asia Canaan and many of the lands surrounding Israel and now thanks to the council of Nicaea of the 4th century the Christian congregation had assimilated this into Christianity!

Or you could go down this route:

The Trinity clearly teaches that God asked himself to go to earth to save mankind.

Then he agreed with himself and volunteered himself to himself to offer himself.

Then God impregnated a woman as himself, with himself.

God prayed to himself and glorified himself repeatedly.

God strengthened himself and talked to himself.

Finally God forsook himself and sacrificed himself to prove his loyalty to himself.

While dead he resurrected himself so that he could exalt himself above himself.

Then he sat at his own right hand and waited until he placed his enemies as a footstool for himself.

Finally with Satan’s forces defeated God would turn his kingdom over to himself.

That all things would become everything to himself.

Now that wasn’t hard, was it???
