Turn signal stays steady rather than flashing?
My mom drives a 1994 Buick Regal, recently her turn signal started staying steady in the front and the back does not light up. It indicates the same way on the dash. If you wiggle the switch some you can get it to flash and both the front and back work just fine. It says that it stays steady when a bulb is blown but that is not the problem. Is it the swith? Or is their an easier solution. Her mechanic said it would be like 300 bucks to replace it cause of the airbag and stuff. Thanks for any help.
I have left out a few details...this problem only occurs with the left turn signal and the fuses are all good. It seems to be that it stays solid when its in the locked position and flashes when it is in the temporary position (like for changing lanes).

Her mechanic wants to have money on nothing. Just check (pull out and put back) and replace if you find some burned out fuses.
