ATHEIST - someone who does not believe in a God – any God – not just the Christian one. But that does not mean they do not hold strong moral or religious beliefs! They can follow any religion that does not have a god and there are a lot of those!

Like BUDDHISM – Religious teaching from Buddha and his followers that by destroying greed, hatred and delusion (the cause of all suffering) man can attain perfect enlightenment!

Why so blind to what causes the backlash against christianity?

ALL the other religions and atheists live in peace and are ONLY attacked by BAD christians which causes all GOOD christians to despair at the damage they do!

Up until about 40 years back Christianity was thriving and there was no conflict with others but in just those few short years the modern christians have become intolerant, hate filled, bigoted and persecuting resulting in a growing backlash against christianity and causing christianity to loose over ten percent in less than a decade with the loss accelerating!

The self destruction of Christianity is underway and the only thing that can stop it is to abandon the terrible human emotions, seek to rediscover the idea of a loving god and act like it!

It seems there sure are a lot of people who have no religion or belief

that venture here to the Religious Category. Makes one wonder, doesn't

it? If there is no God, how did the word "G-O-D" get into our vocabulary?

How did we get here if there is no God? Who came up with our wonderously

made bodies? How did we get a conscience? Our bodies are made up

of body, soul, and spirit - even science will agree with that. But yet no one

has seen the soul or spirit (just like we haven't seen God) but it is still real.

Christians have "faith" that there is a God. You too have faith....that the

sun will rise every morning and set every evening (who made that a

possibility?) God can stop that at any second if He wants to. He can dry

up the world by not letting it ever rain. You don't believe in a hell's fire?

Go to the erupting geyser's in Wyoming or the hundreds in Alaska and

see the fire coming up out of the underground. It's there, folks. Jesus was

also real, who lived on this earth 33 years and He performed hundreds of

miracles, healing the sick, walking on the water, feeding 500 people, and

even raising others from the dead. He too came out of the grave after 3

days of being dead. He now abides in heaven with God. It is all true and

whether we believe it or not really doesn't matter. It's our choice and it will

indeed matter at End Times.

Atheism is not a belief system that we put our faith in. Rather, atheism is a label applied to people who lack a belief in a god. It requires no faith. Faith is belief in the absence of evidence. Atheism is a lack of belief.

I also resent the assumption that I feel the need to convince others. I am around religious people all the time and the only time I ever tell them about my stances on religion is when they ask.

I don't feel the need to convince others. I feel the need to convince others that just because I'm an atheists doesn't mean I'm not human. And I have faith in many things. Just not a god. I don't feel a need to believe in atheism. I'm an atheist because I don't have a belief in god.

Is not believing Santa exists a belief? Or is it just the acceptance of the fact that if all the evidence concerning the existence of something is from human imagination, the thing in question is imaginary?

If you believe God exists you have no logical basis to say that all the other things you daily recognize as imaginary DON'T exist.

I don't care what you believe, personally, but it IS necessary to make you understand that I won't live my life according to the dictates of your religious belief system that's based on nothing but your personal prejudices. If you expect to bring that to the table you can also expect you're going to have to compromise. Live your life according to your beliefs and I'll live mine according to mine- as long as neither is doing any harm to the other, that should be acceptable.

Atheism becoming more outspoken is in RESPONSE to millions of barking lunatic god botherers demanding that THEIR religion be put INTO the public laws and institutions that ALL of us have to live with.

Why do you need to believe there isn't unicorns? The same thing applies.

Why do I need to try to convince others? Because some people give their life savings away to televangelists, or tithe 10% of their money away to groups that spend that money to make the lives homosexuals as miserable as possible by influencing legislation.

Athists plan to keep an eye on Belivers to make sure you don't try to bring back the burning times.
