World History between 1550-1800 for these countries?
I wanna know what happened in Spain, Italy and the Phillipines during 1550-1800! Like Spain ruled over Italy from what year and for how long? + How long did Spain rule over the Philippines and what other countries tried to invade? Please help!
Any additional info would be helpful, but please don't write something as long as a book :P and also, please write the answer into simple standards, like something that a pickle could understand!
Thank you! ^^
Ehehe, should've added this earlier... Please add the specific year of the event if you can ^^' Thank you!

Spain - Got owned by Britain and lost control of the seas, then they lost all their territories
Italy - was a bunch of little countries and then united into one big country and stripped the Catholic church of most of their lands which left them butthurt
Phillipines - Spain raped and killed a bunch of natives and then pretty much took over the country but then it was taken back by MURRICA after the Spanish-American War. Then the people there revolted because America sucks and became their own country.

Oh my goodness that is a lot of history you're asking for. I can't really provide much information on the Philippines because most of my studies have focused on western European history but I can give you a brief history of Spain during some of those years.
For starters in the 1400's Spain had mostly united and finished reconquering the Peninsula and were doing pretty well there and began funding major exploration around the world. This made them really quite wealthy because they were one of the first countries (along with Portugal) to colonize the New World (mostly South America) and begin mining large amounts of silver and gold from there to bring back to Europe. This set them up as one of the most powerful nations in Europe and began to weaken Italy economically because Italy no longer had a monopoly on trade with the Eastern countries like the Ottoman Empire or India.
However, things went really downhill for Spain in the 1600's because the King of Spain was also often the Holy Roman Emperor (an elected position that controlled areas in eastern Europe including Germany and the like) but Germany was becoming increasingly Protestant which the Spanish King didn't like for a number of reasons and it ended up sparking the Thirty Year's War which lasted, surprise surprise, 30 years and bankrupted Spain and absolutely decimated the German people and countryside. This sort of knocked Spain out of the running to be the best in Europe and opened the way for France and England to shine.
Italy on the other hand had been steadily decreasing since the 16th century (1500's) with the decline of the Renaissance and was conquered by the Hapsburgs of Spain before sort of being passed along to the Hapsburgs of Austria (remember how I mentioned that the King of Spain also ruled over eastern Europe? that's part of the reason why this happened). They weren't conquered completely, it was more that they were under the "protection" of these people from aggressors, namely France who Spain really did not want to get more powerful. However, that did happen and Italy was again invaded by Napolean which forced the Austrians to leave. Napolean essentially played around with Italy for a bit and did things like kick the Pope out of Rome. However, once Napolean lost Italy again split into the individual kingdoms that it had been centuries before, though with some minute differences.
That is a very very generalized history of Spain and Italy during these periods, it's not particularly great because it's hard not to go into too much detail because this is a long period of time where lots and lots of things happened. I can't give you any information on the Philippines, sorry.
