How many of you own guns?

I am and have been a member of the NRA for over 25 years now, but I'm seriously thinking about not renewing next year.

The NRA has been incredibly dishonest this year regarding their efforts to get Obama out of office and the lies they tell about how he's going to take our guns away.

I've gotten into arguments on the phone with NRA fundraisers about this. And this isn't because I'm an Obama fan. I'm not and I want him out. But the sheer dishonesty of the NRA in this is pissing me off.

Next year, when my membership runs out, I'll be looking at joining a different gun rights organization instead.

Will never be a member of the NRA. The NRA is a lobbying group, and all lobbying groups are whores who are paid to have a political opinion.

Just watch 'Thank You For Smoking' which is a movie about a tobacco lobbyist. I completely condone tobacco use, but lobbying is just sickening.

Own 5 handguns and one shotgun.

Before becoming the police at age 30 never owned a gun an only handled a .22 rifle in Jr. ROTC

Not a member of the NRA but do have 3 guns in our home. I keep one in my bedroom just for safety.

I have a .38 special and plan on buying a Ruger 10-22 when I get the dough. Not a member of the NRA because they compromise with gun control groups too much. The GOA is a much better organization.

I do. I am a member of the NRA. Aside from the faults of a large organization, if it were not for the NRA the 2nd Amendment would be non-existent today.

There's a handgun here presently. My husband owns a gun for work (he's not an LEO, tho) & he's not an NRA member.

We have several and one shot gun [but that one is for shooting at the gun club] and we are looking to buy a at least one more as my hands are having some issues with shooting them with ease, so want something a bit more lighter for me.

Am not in NRA and nor do we plan to join..............do not really see the point to be honest.

I would be a member of the NRA but I'm generally not a fan of groups who try to influence government. I believe that government should be small enough that attempting to influence it would prove fruitless.
