this is just a scenario: Please answer 2 of the questions.Thank you

Could I bring that check on a plane from Canada going into the U.S.?

Could U.S. citizens travel with that much money in check form within the U.S.?

Update:

Genus even if they try to cash it, won't the banks notify me first anyways for that much money?

You just tell customs. Banks inform the government of anything over 10

As long as you declare it upon entry to the US you can bring a check for $200,000. Any monetary instruments over $10,000 (cash, check, bonds, etc) have to be declared but as long as you declare it you can bring it in

You can move as much money into and out of the US. However, if $10,000 or more, you have to make a declaration that it's happening.

Yes to both of them. It's not a good idea though because if someone sees that check for $20,000 it's not going to be yours anymore.
