Can a plus size girl cosplay a character that shows stomach?

I don't think it really matters, I've seen a lot of people who look different from what the character is supposed to look like. Wear it how you want to, as long as it resembles a little that people know who you're supposed to be. Some people even change the original outfit a little, so it's fine to wear the black shirt.

If you have confidence; wear it like the character.

If you don't have confidence;

1) If you are making the costume, make the purple bit on her shirt longer so that it covers your stomach.

2) If you are buying the costume, just wear a purple or black tank top underneath the top, maybe even wear something to hold it in if you're that worried.

All comes down to your personal preference.

I cosplayed as babydoll from sucker punch and I still have stomach chub from being prego. I would parade around for my fiance w/o extra cover cause he didn't mind, but when in public I woar a tank top that corresponded w her outfit colors. Black was a lesser color so I used a black tank top. I mean sure I don't mind my belly fat, but I do mind the dirty looks and the snide remarks, so I covered it up. All in all its up to you.

Doesnt really matter in reality. Lots and lots of people cosplay as anyone (Seriously I once sow a Black Naruto lol). Just as long as you got main features down your all good. And most importantly just have fun with it. Its your fun that matters right?
