What is the best way to store stuff like potatoes and onions outside of a fridge?
From what I can understand potatoes and onions are supposed to keep for months and the ones I've been storing are starting to go bad after just a month of having them.

If you keep them in a very dry, cool, dark place they will last a lot longer (it's a similar environment in which they grow). Also, don't store them right next to each other because, for some reason, they go bad more quickly.

I would keep them in an enclosed cool space that is dry. Don't store them mixed together. I keep mine in a drawer close to the ground, its made of wood.

Keep them in a dark dry place. Most people place them under the sink
