Fellow seniors. Is the rumour true?

Psssst!

I have heard vague rumours that the Olympic games might be actually being held here in jolly old Blighty in a month's time.

Can it possibly be true?

And if so, what can we do to stop it folks?

After the French Open, then Euro 2012, then Wimbledon, are we really going to be spoiled with another two weeks of grunting and sweating and gasping and leaping and hopping and farting and running and flinging and hurling and riding round in circles and jumping into swimming pools and horses walking sideways.

What next?

I reckon we'll be about due for a long boring snooker tournament next, followed by a long and excrutiatingly boring golf championship.

Then the footie season starts again.

OH JOY!

I think I'll get drunk tonight, and stay that way.

Until about December.

OH NO!

THEN IT'S................

ITS........

CHRISTMAS!!

AAARRRGGGHHHHH!

I will have lost my sanity by then and become a gibbering, drooling, raving loon.

Time for my little yellow pills now.

If you start now, you can make a fortune with T-shirts which read: I Survived The Wedding, The Games and Hoopla and Am Content with Boredom. Another one: The World is a Stage...Now When Do We Turn Out The Lights and Drop the Curtain?

I personally don't know if those claims are true but here are my 2 points worth... They should actually REVISE the sejarah subject to make it more interesting so that the younger generations could appreciate the country's history rather than dropping it as a compulsory subject. After all, there's internet technology these days and information is just a click away, so there shouldn't be any fuss about having the subject as a compulsory study in schools. Again, its the style of teaching! Do take note that there are a LOT of inaccuracies and biasedness in their Malaysian History due to political issues in the past (and you should KNOW about this as a student and future leader of the country, young man)... As for driver's license... I think they should raise it to 21, if its possible. Sorry and sad to say, unless Malaysians could be more civic-minded, I'm afraid I'll have to agree with the change of minimal age preliminary requirement for a driver's license... or perhaps, they could allow juvenile drivers with an adult of at least 5 years of driving experience beside them as practiced in certain countries? *** With 'kak' Shiori, I would like to praise you for your level of English too. Here's an 'A' from King Bearian :-) Have a great week ahead and happy ramadhan!

My question is where are they going to be held? When they were in Los Angeles in 1984 they were all over the county. It kind of let everyone catch one event or the other, but London? Did the city suddenly acquire a lot of empty space? 1984 was a wonderful year because there was an energy all over the county and people actually talked to each other-nicely. You might be surprised. Try it-you just might smile.

    So sorry good sir.

My poor blonde brain cell insisted in fleeing the country before the hype got underway.

It will not allow me to return until well after all that running in circles has finished and the TV has stopped their replays.

Please feel free to join us in South Mississippi. A place that is not only free from Olympicitis, but where the sun shines every day. One can wile away the hours relaxing in an air conditioned room nibbling chocolate, sipping wine and listening to your favourite music or reading a good book. Or (like me at this moment) sit on a shady front porch with a laptop for company, listening to bird song as you sip cool wine or an iced Daiquiri or Mint Julep if you prefer.

Come on, Mr. Matt, just sit back and enjoy the fluff and festivities. You Brits have had two years of it, what with the royal marriage and the Jubilee and all. Just take it in stride, and next year, it'll be nothing but sweet memories. Just remember, it's fun for the rest of the world, and the UK has never had such good PR. Where's your national pride, man? LOL

Any excuse for a drink sound good to me!

Maybe those little yellow pills are not mixing well with the drink or maybe they are mixing too well...

When all else fails, I watch cartoons, keeps me sane.

Our TV's will be following it all 24/7. I'll enjoy the view right from my couch. I feel so healthy but alas I'm athletic only in my mind. And that is questionable.

You crack me up. Heh, the invite is still open to come on over and relax with my hubby and I. Of course you might not be able to endure the steamy hot weather around here. It's too much even for us. ;)
