Are you outraged by Pa.'s GOP House Majority Leader Mike Turzai's admission?

In a speech Saturday at a Republican State Committee meeting, House Majority Leader Mike Turzai suggested the House approve a voter identification law to benefit the party politically, politicspa.com reported. I saw the clip, he actually said voter ID laws would deliver PA to Romney.

So when the Tea party said they wanted their Country back, was that by any means possible? Is this American democracy now?

The 1% ers and corporations are buying the election and throwing people off of the voter rolls. Sorry the voter fraud story does not wash. President Willard M. Romney will stand for whatever the wealthy tell him to stand for and we are in more trouble than we can imagine. Serious, constructive opinions only.

Update:

"My Baby"...Isn't what Gov. Scott did in Fl. fraud and corruption? Wasn't the 2000 election an example of fraud and corruption when the SCOTUS stepped in to decide the outcome? There were large numbers of disenfranchised voters who cast their votes that were not counted.

OMG! The dead voters in Laskawanna County won't be able to vote this time. This time Democrats will only be able to vote once. If you are an illegal you won't be able to vote. Please tell us what is unconstitutional about any of those.

  • Of course, I'm outraged.

The last thing that the Republicans want to do is get more eligible citizens to vote, because they know that shrinking the electorate, especially in certain targeted demographic areas that traditionally vote for Democrats, will help elect more Republicans.

It's simple math on their part.

There is no widespread voter fraud going on in this country, there are laws on the books already against it. Voter fraud is a myth. This is voter suppression, pure and simple. And this suppression is affecting both Democrats and Republicans alike, as well as Independents. It's nothing more than the worst thing ever to come out of partisan politics.

Even if you're a Republican voter, you should be appalled at this… They can easily take your right to vote away too.

It's un-American what the Republicans are doing and it's dead wrong.

No...........Do you not understand that Obama is the 1% also!!

I would like a fair election not one corrupted by either side. That is why Voter I.D. is needed. It is not to suppress votes. It is to stop fraud and corruption. You liberals just like fraud and corruption and want to suppress what the majority of the country wants.......

Surprised, yes, outraged, no. When some-one states the obvious I may be surprised but never outraged. Even a broken clock is correct twice a day.

We know what he DIDN’T MEAN...he didn’t mean that they’ll win because they’ll eliminate voter fraud, since there is no evidence of voter fraud. He meant that they’ll win because they’ll disenfranchise tons of poor and minority voters.

Republicans are disgusting. How do they live with themselves? Truly. Aren’t they supposed to be trying to live ‘Christ-like’ lives?

He didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know. He lives in a dream if he thinks PA is going to Romney.
