So Congress is going to fund the Government but kill the people with Monsanto's GEF?
Don't you think we should know if our food has been modified?
3 AnswersCurrent Events8 years agoIf closing loopholes and cutting subsidies are the reason for Congress not to come to the table?
What is so bad about giving them up? Isn't saving the economy worth it? Or is it because the rich Congressmen and Senators are the ones benefiting from keeping their loopholes and campaign donations? Honestly, what is your opinion? No President Obama name calling necessary, I am sick of the juveniles.
5 AnswersGovernment8 years agoWhy did the Republicans vote no on the UN treaty ratification on disability rights for other countries?
The Republicans proclaim how America should be the world leader. Then the UN draws up a treaty for all countries to sign, giving persons with disabilities accommodations, modeled after our own ADA, and they voted no. Bob Dole went to Congress in his wheelchair and lobbied for it. John McCain, and John Kerry, both Vets voted for the ratification. The Republicans voted no. It would not have cost this country anything to ratify the treaty. So why? What did I miss, it seemed like a no brainer.
4 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDid you hear that Romney cancelled his Staffer's and Campaign Aide's credit cards right?
after his concession speech? Some of them could not pay the taxi fare home.
6 AnswersElections9 years agoSo is this is an example of how Romney will save this country's economy?
Delphi was an auto supplier to GM
In 2009, they had financial problems
Romney's company bought it and secured $12 billion in auto bailout loans
Then they cut pensions, gutted health care coverage, closed 25 plants and sent the jobs overseas
And Romney added 15 million to his pocket
Sensata, 51% owned by Romney, made $471 million in their 3rd qtr earnings. To make even more money, their jobs are going to China in December. However, they have been threaten with immediate plant closing if they don't stop the picketing. How is that going to bring new jobs to Freeport, Il?
"In Romney World, the workers get the shaft." The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
7 AnswersElections9 years agoIf 17 of Romney's foreign policy advisors are left over from the Bush era, don't you think?
we may well be in for another war? Once again looking for nuclear weapons. Additionally, war has always been a money making deal for suppliers. For serious thinkers only.
3 AnswersElections9 years agoWhy aren't the residents from MA overwhelming voting for Romney, since he was such a great Governor?
I would like to hear from some ot the residents on how Romney was as Governor. I know he was 47% in job creation. I heard, not substantiated, that he left a huge deficient. I also heard he appropriated an elevator in the state house for his use only.
11 AnswersElections9 years agoWhat is your opinion of this article?
Does it change your mind or reinforce your belief in your candidate. Just the facts. This election is serious. All you kids, go to bed.
1 AnswerElections9 years agoAre you surprised to learn that the Ohio State Attorney General is looking into Murray Energy Company?
Republicans on this site thought I was being disingenuous when I posted that Murray forced his employees to lose a days pay in order to pose as a backdrop for Mitt Romney. They lost a days pay and risked having their names put on a list if they did not donate to Romney's campaign.
David Siegel, Time Share Billionaire, has said they he may have to cut back on the number of employees who work for him, if President Obama wins re-election. By the way Siegel is building a 90K square ft palace.
What is up with these thinly veiled threats to fire employees if they don't vote the way the boss wants them to? This is not Democracy?
2 AnswersElections9 years agoFor 10 points, what former Governor left his state with the highest per capita debt in the County?
Convince me why he would make a good fiscal conservative for the country. Just show me the facts.

1 AnswerElections9 years agoWhy can't Mitt stick to one position?
He flips and flops all over the place.
8 AnswersElections9 years agoDid you fact check what Mitt said about never having heard of a tax deduction for moving businesses off shore?
He is a smart business man if nothing else. But he missed this one or he lied again. The June 2012, Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation letter states, deductions are allowed for expenses paid or incurred by taxpayers in carrying out any trade or business which includes the relocation of business units.
9 AnswersElections9 years agoDon't you think it was callous for Romney to have the Coal Miners standing behind him on a recent stump?
The Miners were told they had to show up, and lost a day's pay. Murray, their boss, said they had to contribute to Romney's campaign.
11 AnswersElections9 years agoSo is Mitt being a hypocrite when he actually had investments in CNOCC?
He is always stating that he will be tougher on China. But he had investments in a Chinese oil company, who is doing business with Iran, that he had to dump before 2011.
8 AnswersElections9 years agoWhy is Mitt being so dismissive with a teacher in this round table discussion?

There was no reason to be rude.
3 AnswersElections9 years agoCan anyone tell me how President Obama was suppose to turn the Country around in 4 years, it took 8 years?
to bring it to the precipice of failure? It seems to me he spent the money to save the institutions (banking, the auto companies and economic stimulus in general) from crashing. In hindsight, what would you have done?
11 AnswersElections9 years agoAre you outraged by Pa.'s GOP House Majority Leader Mike Turzai's admission?
In a speech Saturday at a Republican State Committee meeting, House Majority Leader Mike Turzai suggested the House approve a voter identification law to benefit the party politically, politicspa.com reported. I saw the clip, he actually said voter ID laws would deliver PA to Romney.
http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2012/06/25/Pa-GOP-V... The Ed Show.
So when the Tea party said they wanted their Country back, was that by any means possible? Is this American democracy now?
The 1% ers and corporations are buying the election and throwing people off of the voter rolls. Sorry the voter fraud story does not wash. President Willard M. Romney will stand for whatever the wealthy tell him to stand for and we are in more trouble than we can imagine. Serious, constructive opinions only.
7 AnswersElections9 years agoDo you think the case of Marissa Alexander was overkill, to make a point or just racist.?
This woman, in Florida, received 20 years of prison time for firing into the ceiling to ward off her abusive husband who was threatening to kill her. The jury gave her 20 years, she wouldn't accept a plea deal for 2 or 3 years. She was also denied a retrial. She has already spent 2 years in prison. Her estranged dirtbag husband admits he abuses all of his girlfriends. So why was her crime so harshly judged? By the way she tried that "stand your ground" defense, apparently it didn't work for her.
5 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police9 years agoDid you contact your Congressman today?
President Obama asked that we contact our Congressmen to encourage them to vote on his plan to discontinue oil subsidies. They don't really need our money when they are making record breaking profits. You agree?
