If closing loopholes and cutting subsidies are the reason for Congress not to come to the table?

As long as Obama keeps golfing, the oil keeps gushing.

Closing 'loopholes' and cutting 'subsidies' are tax increases. How many tax increases do democrats want before their honor promises of actual spending CUTS?

If democrats were honestly interested in 'saving the economy' they would have passed a budget 1,400+ days ago.

If democrats were interested in 'saving the economy' they would have honestly and reasonable reformed and simplified the overly complex tax code.

If democrats were interested in 'saving the economy' they would have read the bill before finding out what was in it.

If democrats were interested in 'saving the economy' they would have much more carefully crafted a 'stimulus bill' that actually imporved 'infrastructure. (it was a PERFECT opportunity to update/upgrade the electric infrastructure that failed only a few years before)

If democrats were interested in 'saving the economy' they would have really reformed banking and finance regulations that kept small regional banks in business and competitive as well as ending 'too big to fail. Regional banks are now unable to meet the new regulatory environment and ar failing regularly. 'Too big to fail' is now even 'too bigger to fail' AND federally subsidized!

Sadly, the only thing democrats are really interested in is pushing the 'progressive agenda' and remaking the US in the image of europe.

EDIT: The House has passed multiple pieces of legislation to address a variety of issues. The Democrat Senate obstructs those pieces of legislation from being voted on. Why is Harry and the dems so obstructionist? Personally, I think the House should stay out of DC until the Senate acts on what it has been given. Then again, that's the Dems not interested in saving the economy.

As far as not 'getting anything done at home', well, when what is being proposed to 'be done' is not worth 'doing', home is the best place af all of congress.

Once again, the Dems have absolutly NO interest in saving the economy and they have proved it often.

1. Congress offered just that--the president turned them down--demanding instead that the rich pay higher taxes. Obonzo got that.

Obama got his revenue increase, now revenue increases are off the table and Obama will have to cough up cuts. It's really pretty simple

The question is, if having rational cuts in our out of control budget is the reason why Obama won't come to the table, what is so bad about trimming our budget to eventually balance it?

HMMMM?

How can you not call Obama a bad name, who is the leader of this country? You lead by example and bring people under you together, make deals, compromise, do what it takes to run a country. It just shows us all we have poor leadership.

The people will suffer, congress and the President will not.
