is it ok to keep a dwarf banana tree plant in the car on a hot day?

Im going on a vacation and I am taking my dwarf banana tree plant with me, but I will spend 3 days in a hotel and am not sure if I can bring in my plant. It will be about 100 degrees outside, so probably 120 degrees inside the car. Should I try to bring the plant in the hotel, or is it okay in the car?
It is a tropical plant so it might be okay with heat, I know its terrible in the cold. But then again 120 degrees is hot for everybody, plants alike.
Is there a rule of thumb with tropical plants and cars?

Tell the hotel staff, this is your great aunt Susan and you could not bear the thought of being without her. They should not bother you after that.
Then Bring it in your room, and make sure it is well lit and in the window so that the hotel staff can see it as they drive home.
Call for room service and perform a ritual with chanting and candles when they arrive. Adds to the effect.
