    log3(x + 1) = 2 + log3 4

    rewrite 2 in the form of log3 x

    log3(x + 1) = log3 (3^2) + log3 4

    sum to product rule

    log3(x + 1) = log3 (3^2 * 4)

    exponentiate both sides by base 3 (raise 3 to the power of both sides)

    x + 1 = 3^2 * 4

    subtract over the one and simplify

    x = 35

    log3(x + 1) = 2 + log3 4

    log3(x + 1) - log3(4) = 2

    log3((x+1)/4) = 2

    3^2 = (x+1)/4

    9 = (x+1)/4

    36 = x+1

    x = 35

    3^both sides

    x+1=3^2*4 (3^(2+log3(4)) becomes 3^2*3^log3(4). exponent rule)

    x+1=36

    x=35

    make it a good day
