What to do for lower back pain?

What should I do for my lower back pain. I find I get most of my pain when I am sitting down or standing g for long periods of time. At y job I got to wear steel toe boots and I stand in the same spot literally for hours at a time for 8 hour shift.

I am a 22yr old male. Previous medical history, broken my left leg twice withing 6 months at the age of 13.

I've tried a chiropractor. But I seem to be wasting money going there. I have to take extra strength tylonel capsules for pain relief.

Should I think about surgery or any type of work to be done

The pain will scale from 7/10 to sometimes 8/10 daily

I would normally tell you to see a chiropractor. However, I have a few questions for you.

    1) Does your chiropractic visit with the doctor ( not including other therapies) last more than 5 minutes?

    2) Does the chiropractor ever adjust your feet?

    3) Has the chiropractor ever adjusted your sacrum?

If the answer to ANY of these is no, then you need to find a new chiropractor. Many chiropractors get into a "routine" of adjusting the pelvis, adjusting the back and then the neck and then they are on to the next patient. A good chiropractor will look at the entire body. Your entire problem could be coming from your feet. If your feet are misaligned, then the rest of the body wont stay in alignment and you wont get better.

It really sounds as if your chiropractor is missing something. I would recommend finding another one who will spend time to listen to you, adjust your feet and look at the whole body.

I really wish you the best. If you need help finding another chiropractor in your area, please feel free to contact me at dare2care@dishmail.net.

Check here a very effective sciatica natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info/

Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication

I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.

I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.
