Microsoft word stuck on german spelling?

So, was innocently typing up my chemistry notes when microsoft thought it would be funny to change my spell check to german, not only do i not speak german, i have never put my computer on german before in my life. I have tried going to tools --> language --> English (Australian) --> default -->okay but it just changes back.

So i closed microsoft word tried again and i'm still on german. How can i get it back to english? I am on a macbook if it helps?

Hi. I am Japanese and use MS Word of Japanese edition, so I am not sure about MS Word of Australian edition, but if you would like to fix your assignment document's langauge back to Australian English, I think you should scrawl all sentences and then click the button at the bottom of the screen that shows language to change the language to English (Australia). I hope my answer helps you (if my sentences don't make sense, please let me know so that I will fix). All the best. Yoshi

Source(s): I use MS Word and often change the language (e.g. English US to English Australia).
