Can I work at a pet store?

I love animals, and I'm very experienced with many reptiles. I own 4 snakes and one bearded dragon, and have researched so many other reptiles. I don't like to consider myself an expert, since I still have a lot to learn, but I'd say I'm close to it (don't want to sound arrogant or anything).

Problem is, I'm only 14 right now. I'm going to be 15 in February. Are they allow to hire me? I don't know, because of laws. If I can't get a job there, would I be allowed to do like an unpaid internship? I feel I have a lot of knowledge to share with people who come to buy reptiles there and I'd be a good information source there. I really just want a way to help reptiles, to make sure people get the right info for their reptiles. Thanks in advance.
