How can i prep my legs for doing the spilts?? Any tips for me prepping to be a cheerleader!?
I've decided that i want to be a cheerleader for my 2013- 2014 highschool year, so i want to prep my body in anyway possible for this. I have about 9 months to do this before they decide the new cheer team and I thought getting more flexible is one way to start prepping my body.
Any tips, stretches, or just about anything to help me would be great! Or anything you think would help me be a good cheer leader!
additional info: At my school you don't have to try out for any sport or extra activity, so technically i don't even have to be good to be a cheerleader, but i just really want to be good

(Wrong category) But stretch every day. And I mean EVERY DAY. It doesn't take too much. You get a little more flexible each time you stretch. I used to do cheerleading too and I came really close to splits because I stretched my legs every day. Once, I stopped, I didn't even come close. Spread them as WIDE AS YOU CAN and then reach for your toes. Reach down the middle, too. If you feel a burn, it's working ;)

get a partner to push your knees together why you try taking them apart. it might seem wierd but it helps my color guard team!:) Good luck!
