I was watching a movie, and I have a question?
Right now, the movie Top Gun is on AMC, of which my satellite company is giving me a special preview. Now I have not seen this movie since I was 12 or 13 years old, and so I did not notice much of this before...but this is about the straight gayest movie (no pun intended, but funny to me nonetheless) I've ever seen.
And I am not just talking about that volleyball scene, though that is fairly gay with all those oiled up guys. I'm talking about all that flirting that was going on between Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer. They were flirting so much I was afraid that Tom Cruise was going to cheat on his life partner Anthony Edwards.
As a Christian, can I still watch this movie? Right now with so little on TV, my only other option is watching Batman Forever, and that movie has the same Val Kilmer, only in a rubber latex suit and hanging out with his "young ward" Robin.
Actually, since then Kelly McGillis has since come out as lesbian, and she is not a very good-looking one anymore. I suppose it doesn't matter since it's not me she is trying to impress, but all the same...

Before I knew Tom is apparently gay, it never occurred to me to notice the mano-a-mano parts, except that I learned in USAF that to be a fighter pilot one has to be an arrogant jerk. It is a job requirement. Seriously.
So my final answer is that as a Christian you should redirect your attention to Kelly McGillis. That's a fine heterosexual piece of work there and worthy of any honest man's attention ;)

You are not sinning by watching a gay movie. If the bible says being gay is wrong, and you are not gay but watching other people be gay, then I think that's totally fine. Plus, if you were to think it was a sin and you were sinning, it wouldn't be totally horrible because everyone sins. I really hope this does not offend you, I hope it helps :)
