Why do I only get medicaid for 3 months?
So i've been really sick the last couple of months and had to be hospitalized two times before having surgery (colectomy/ ileostomy)...and my bill right now is probably laying around $100,000. My medicaid ended last august, and since then i had been reapplying and it was this month that i was approved. But its ongoing, so it doesnt cover my previous bills, which is what i need help with paying, since now, thanks to the surgery, im doing great.. What should i do? Why are they not paying my previous bills? or why did i get ongoing medicaid??

You need to go to your worker and tell them your current and past situation as to why it is important for you to have ongoing insurance and try to ask them for help to pay your hospital bills. You did not specify as to why you had that surgery but my guess is it sounds like maybe you have Chrons Disease or had like colon/colorectal cancer. If either of these are your case then there is help out there for you because you could also apply for like social security too I do believe. You just have to keep on those workers and ask them why they always cut you off for.Hope this helps and Take care =)

Ugh I went via that! They say you need to fill out the absent mother or father type and move via little one aid despite the fact that you do not desire it due to the fact that humans attempt to observe for medicaid pronouncing they do not obtain little one aid simply to be underneath the earnings instructions. It's a suffering within the butt! It simply states whether or not or now not the daddy is paying little one aid and what kind of. No subject what you should not be denied Medicaid due to the fact that you're pregnant however they're going to make you move via the little one aid system. Just grasp in there and take a look at to do do the whole lot imperative. You want the insurance plan and I understand it's a suffering. Sometimes I feel they purposely make it rough so humans would possibly not even trouble! That's what the offerings are there for! Good good fortune hunny!

Sounds like your eligible for retro active service. Meaning, medicaid will pay for any bills created three months before your application date. You will however have to let them know a bill exist, by calling the number on the back of the card and/or letting your caseworker know. Hope this helps.
