Does anyone know why Tony wasn't at Daytona Nationwide, 2012?

I know that he lost his front row start, with a "violation".

but all that did was put him at the back.

Tony has won many races from the back of the field.

Yes, I checked his website, and did several google searches, with no luck.

thanks

Tony was not scheduled to race in the Nationwide Series race at Daytona Friday night. Tony's qualifying time for the Sprint Cup Coke Zero 400 to be held Saturday night was disallowed--an open cooling hose was found under the cockpit of the car. It is thought to provide an aerodynamic advantage to the car. NASCAR may hand out penalties later in the week.

Tony Stewart ran the 2012 DRIVE4COPD 250 at Daytona in the #33 car.

That front row loss was for his Sprint Cup Series car not the Nationwide race.
