Guys. I don't have a pc nowadays but borrowed a hdd from a friend which has some movies in it. I really want t?

Want to watch movies from my hdd on my tv

Update:

Hi guys, sorry for the messed up question a few minutes ago, reason being i was trying to post the question from my phone which turned out not be a good idea. Doing it from a very old laptop now lol.

What i wanted to ask was that I have been looking for some media players om ebay and amazon. There are some pretty cheap ones, around 25£ to 35£. The description says that you can connect the usb to the media player and watch all your stuff, regular formats are compatible like .mkv, divx, xvid, etc

But my worry is, will my 3TB hdd connect to my Sharp 40" full Hd Lcd? I hope someone out has used it and would be able to shed some light on this for me :) thanks

You need something like a Roku player. I think the Roku 2 has USB inputs so you can play video on your TV through a USB hard drive or something.

There's also the WD TV media player by Western Digital which plays most media formats, more than the Roku player which is primarily meant for streaming video, while the WD TV is meant to just play media on your TV.
