The country is not falling apart. Poverty may be on the rise, but this is due to government policies which de-incentivizes growth. We could solve several problems if we did two things; place term limits on congress and had a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

The liberal or progressive philosophy of more government to take care of people is a failed policy and it's started to show it's ugly head. Politicians on both sides have to STOP spending our money on things this government has no business or authority to spend money on.

I am optimistic about the future because there are many people who care deeply about this country and we can and have changed for the better in the past. We will do this again ... painful as it may be.
